Library Policies

Book Check out

Students may check out two books at a time for two weeks.  The due date is stamped on the inside of the book's back cover.  may also Students must have the books with them in order to renew the books.  It is the student's responsibility to recheck or turn in books on time. 

If a book is late, a fine of five cents a day is charged.

When a student has a lost book, from another school or from Travis, he/she may not check out a library book until the charges for the lost book are paid.  Please talk to Mrs.Beechem about payment options.  

Chromebook Use

Computers are for academic use only.  Students must ask permission to use computers and the internet.  They will be asked for what class assignment and by what teacher they need the computer.  Students must also ask permission to print. Students may not use the school computers to play games or listen to music.

Library Availability

Before school: Students are welcome to come into the library before school at 7:30 AM to read or work on assignments. You must have a pass before you may enter.  Passes are available at both entrances each morning.  

Lunch: The library is also available during lunches with a pass from the librarian.  Students may not bring food or drinks into the library, but may use the library before or after they eat. If a class is using the library during the lunch times, availability for lunch students may be restricted.

After School

The library is open until 4:30 PM unless it is in use for administrative purposes.

Student Visits on a Pass

I want you to enjoy the library. Make sure you check in with me so that I can sign your pass.  It's your space; however, respect for people and property sprinkled with kindness is the name of the game.  If I have to send you back because you can't follow the rules, try again another time.  I have faith in you!
