Both Travis Science Academy and Temple High School receive recognition from the state for students' recent and ongoing academic achievement.

Both Travis Science Academy and Temple High School got some good news recently as the Texas Education Agency release the academic achievement results on September 13th.

Travis Science Academy earned three distinctions for:

Academic Achievement in English Language Arts/Reading;
Academic Achievement in Social Studies;
Academic Achievement in Student Progress Measure

This is the third year in a row Travis has earned a distinction, and the second year in a row the school earned multiple distinctions.

Principal Kristina Carter said, “This is a testament to the quality instructional experiences our teachers design and lead students through as well as the preparation students receive while on our elementary campuses. The recognition through these distinction designations comes at a time of significant accomplishment for the campus as we were also recently recognized as an IB World School. Exciting things are happening in Temple ISD and at Travis Science Academy. As we say at Travis, today is an especially great day to be a Mustang!”
