Pumpkin Patch at Travis

in conjunction with the book fair last week the library was transformed into a Book Character Pumpkin Patch.  The creations were evaluated by a guest judge, Morgan Lee, who determined the the following submissions were the most creative.  In 6th grade, Alexandra Camacho, won with her pumpkin called 'The Lorax' based on the book by Dr. Seuss.  For 7th grade, 'Katniss' from the Hunger Games, earned Gabriela Soto the prize.  Finally, in 8th grade, the winner was Erika Fernandez, creator of 'James and the Giant Pumpkin' based on the book, James and Giant Peach by Ronald Dahl.

Congratulations to all the students who entered a pumpkin.  They all looked great!
