Assistant Principals

Joannie Caraballo-Lopez serves as an assistant principal at Travis Science Academy, an IB World School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education K-6 with a minor in History from Fayetteville State University, a Constituent of the University of North Carolina located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She also obtained her Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She is currently working on her Doctorate in P-12 Leadership at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

She has previously worked for the Temple Independent School District as a Bilingual Teacher advocating and teaching the bilingual population as a Bilingual Math and Science Teacher. Prior to Temple ISD, she worked as an ESL/Bilingual Program Coordinator. Joannie enjoys spending time with her family, going on long walks, being outdoors, and traveling.

Pamela Tate serves as an assistant principal at Travis Science Academy, an IB World School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Concordia University in Austin, TX, and a masters degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.

Mrs. Tate has served Temple Independent School District for the past 23 years in several capacities: English as Second Language and Adult Basic Education instructor, Girl’s Athletic Coordinator/Coach, Language and Literature teacher, Principal Intern, and now Assistant Principal.

On a personal note, Mrs. Tate enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, watching movies, coaching little league teams, and traveling - especially to watch her three kids participating in their sports and activities. She believes in enjoying life and lives by the quote, “Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift”.

Alexandria Lewis is currently serving as the assistant principal intern at Travis Science Academy, an IB World School. Ms. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, EC-6 from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, as well as a Masters in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.

Ms. Lewis has had the pleasure of serving Temple Independent School District for the past 9 years. Throughout her journey with TISD, she has served as a teacher and assistant principal intern.

Ms. Lewis enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, and going on spontaneous trips.
