8th Grade students at Travis Science Academy are fully engaged in their Middle Years Programme Community Projects. This required activity for the IB World School process allows students to choose, investigate, and focus on needs in the community they decide to work with. The Community Project's goal is to help students build skills in engagement with work and increase awareness in the local and global communities.
As part of their interest in the community, several 8th grade students visited McLane Children's Hospital to tour the facility and get ideas on how they can serve the needs of that community. Photos from the visit are at right.
The Community Project cycle will conclude with a SHOWCASE DAY on April 4th.
