Parent or Guardian of TISD Middle School Swim or Tennis Athlete -
During the 2015-2016 school year, TISD middle school students who participated in tennis or swim traveled to Temple High School (THS), departing Travis Science Academy (TSA) for THS at approximately 2:30 daily.
While traveling to THS will continue next school year, the district has adjusted the time tennis and swim student athletes will be transported. Starting next fall, any middle school student athlete wishing to participate in tennis or swim will travel by bus from their respective campus to THS at the final dismissal bell or 3:55 pm.
This adjusted change in transportation time will likely result in a change to the time set for the end of practice. Coach Sullivan has confirmed the anticipated end time for swim practice will be 6:00 pm; the anticipated end time for tennis practice has yet to be determined.
We understand this adjustment may present a hardship for your student athlete and we will accommodate those who wish to move out of tennis or swim for the 2016-2017 school year as a result.
