Ms. Young has been in the battle of her life fighting against cancer for the 3rd time. Faculty, staff, and students all joined together at their pep rally this year to honor Ms. Young. Annika Sikka and Kedrick Freeman shared with the audience what Ms. Young has meant to them and how she has helped them in and out of the classroom. Tyler Van Beber presented Ms. Young with a bouquet of beautiful flowers and there were balloons galore at the celebration. Each grade level signed a #susanstrong banner with encouraging words and thoughts of love. Staff held a silent auction and raised over $1200 to donate to Ms. Young to help cover the expenses of her hospital bills.
Ms. Young stated that she was truly surprised and was so appreciative of her family at Travis.
