Annual Black History Month Luncheon

Today at Travis Science Academy we had a Black History Luncheon. Mrs. Hines and Mrs. O'Neil organized the luncheon.  Mrs. Hines selected items for the luncheon that would reflect Black Culinary History. Some of the featured items were greens, black-eyed peas, mac and cheese, fried chicken, cornbread, pinto beans, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cabbage, banana pudding, peach cobbler and too many more deserts to mention. Our entire staff brought their best food items.

Our traditionally dressed ladies are Mrs. Justice, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Fleming.

Mrs. Fleming put her family tree on her door. She traced her family back to King Henry the 8th and Anne Boleyn. Her family tree is complete to present day. It is a truly impressive family tree.
